COCHLEAR IMPLANT AWARENESS, EDUCATION, INFORMATION AND SUPPORT FOR ADULTS

Communication

is at the heart of all human relationships, and the gift of hearing enables us to interact and communicate with our loved ones, friends and work colleagues.

The Pindrop Foundation

The Pindrop Foundation was established in 2006 to ensure the ability to hear well is available to all in New Zealand.

We help to achieve this through raising awareness of cochlear implant technology, peer to peer support, education and research.

Cochlear implants are life changing devices, giving the gift of sound to those that are affected by severe hearing loss.

In the words of one client, "The cochlear implant helped break me out from the prison of my disability. Free to hear again, I could embrace life to the full."

It has been almost thirty years since leading Ear, Nose and Throat surgeons, started on the journey of restoring the gift of sound, such that today, almost 1200 New Zealanders are able to be part of the hearing world thanks to these pioneers in the field of Cochlear Implantation.

The Pindrop Foundation is here to support and ensure that all those affected by severe hearing loss have access to this incredible technology.

A cochlear implant gives back more than sound; it gives back quality of life.

The Pindrop Foundation is a registered charity under the Charities Act 2005. No: CC32592.
